For best South Indian dishes this is preferable. They also have good chicken dishes. Definitely try their Briyani Thali. I had that last time. It was good.

I recently dined at this fantastic South Indian restaurant that left my taste buds delighted. The menu boasted an array of specialties, including crispy dosas and flaky parotas that were simply irresistible. The lamb varieties were a standout, offering a perfect blend of spices and tenderness that left a lasting impression. For breakfast enthusiasts, the South Indian breakfast options were a true highlight. From piping hot idlis to flavorful vada, the selection was diverse and authentically prepared. The aromatic coffee, brewed to perfection, complemented the meal beautifully.

Bala's Kitchen in Hamilton was an absolute delight for my craving of authentic South Indian food, and today turned out to be a lucky day indeed. Our order included a variety of dishes: mutton biryani, fish fry 🐟rice, rasam, pepper mutton 🌶️🐐 porotha , and of course, a comforting cup of filter coffee ☕ From the moment the food arrived, it was evident that my soul was in for a treat. The mutton biryani was fragrant and bursting with flavor 😋 the fish fry was crispy and perfectly seasoned 🤤 and the accompanying sides like rice, rasam, and mutton sukkah were exceptional. What elevated the experience even further was the warm hospitality of Peter, who was not only friendly but also incredibly welcoming. His attention to our dining experience made us feel right at home. Bala's Kitchen truly delivered on the promise of authentic South Indian cuisine, and I left with a content and satisfied heart, knowing that I had discovered a gem in Hamilton. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious offerings.

Had an amazing south Indian cuisine experience at Bala’s. The food was really amazing and delectable. I have never had such amazing South Indian food in New Zealand. Highly recommend.
